Philadelphia Cricket Club Junior Academy

Although young people have played cricket at Philadelphia for as long as the club has been in existence, the Junior Academy was set up in 2003. Its aim is to provide opportunities for young people to play cricket and to develop their cricketing skills. The club is proud of its record in giving many local young people their first taste of cricket, whilst at the same time supporting the most talented youngsters in achieving representative honours at county and national level

The Junior Academy has teams at Under 11 softball and hardball level as well as Under 13, Under 15 and Under 18. Practise takes place throughout the year, details of which can be found on the notice board.

To achieve sustainability, the Academy has a coach education programme which is constantly producing the next generation of coaches

In 2007, no fewer than eight junior players from the club were selected at county level and the Junior Academy were thrilled when Ben Raine was selected at both regional and national level, representing England Under 15s
